Description

UNFORTUNATELY, THIS ITEM IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

This collection of nine rare silent comedies includes:

Between Showers (1914): A woman unable to cross a rainwater-filled street draws the attention of mashers -- one played by Charlie Chaplin at the dawn of his movie career.

Ship Ahoy (1919): A boarding house resident (Chaplin impersonator Billy West) matches wits with jewel thieves in this stunt-filled comedy directed by Charlie Chase.

Sock and Run (1929): Wacky Frenchman Alphonse (Snub Pollard) competes in an American boxing match.

The Wrong Mr. Fox (1917): An out-of-work actor is mistaken for a minister -- and sees an opportunity to filch the collection plate money.

His Musical Career (1914): Piano movers (Charlie Chaplin and Mack Swain) are ordered to deliver a piano to a rich man and repossess one from a poor man, but they mix up assignments.

Fiddlesticks (1927): Street performer Harry Langdon wants to play a bass fiddle in the worst way, and that's JUST how he plays it. Co-written by Frank Capra.

Hold Your Breath (1924): Newspaper reporter Mabel (Dorothy Devore) scales a building in pursuit of the maniacal monkey who stole a valuable bracelet.

Mickey the Detective (1928): Little Mickey McGuire (eight year old Mickey Rooney) runs a detective school to turn his pals into pint sized Sherlock Holmeses.

Motorboat Maniacs (1924): A radio-controlled speedboat races to mayhem when the control box is stolen.
