The Arizona Kid (1939, B&W): The Civil War has come to Missouri and the people's loyalties are torn. Roy and Gabby join the Confederate Army only to find that Val McBride and his troops have been using guerilla tactics that are targeting both Union sympathizers and Rebel supporters. A volunteer unit led by Roy has been ordered to track down the outlaw soldiers and kill them, but the task may prove to be too difficult to handle when Roy finds that his best friend is one of McBride's henchmen.

Billy the Kid Returns (1938, B&W): The notorious outlaw, Billy the Kid has been shot dead by Sheriff Pat Garrett. Billy's death is a great relief to the law, but it couldn't come at a worse time for the homesteaders he protected from the hungry land barons. Taking advantage of his striking resemblance to Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett deputizes Roy Roger to protect the settlers.
