Real-life magician Harry Blackstone was a showman extraordinaire, and the radio character based on his personae was no less spectacular. With his lovely assistant Rhoda (played by Fran Carlon) on hand, the on-air Blackstone (played by the deep-voiced Edwin Jerome) found himself in a position each week to solve a crime using his knowledge of tricks - in under fifteen minutes, no less.
