Frank Sinatra stars as Rocky Fortunato (a.k.a. Rocky Fortune), a restless, footloose fellow with an attraction to trouble and a penchant for excitement. Sinatra brings a fresh, tongue-in-cheek attitude to his role as a man who drifts from job to job and finds trouble along the way. Although not quite a detective, Rocky always seems to fall into helping people - sometimes accidentally, other times with intent. He takes it on the chin, but always comes out on top in the end.
