The FBI in Peace and War debuted over CBS on November 25, 1944 with Hollywood leading man John Archer starring as FBI Field Agent Andrews. When Archer left the series to star in a Broadway play, Martin Blaine was introduced as Agent Sheppard. The FBI in Peace and War was based on the book of the same title by Frederick L. Collins and featured top New York radio actors in the cast.
