Series BOX THIRTEEN Movie star Alan Ladd is heard as Dan Holiday, a journalist-turned-mystery novelist who sought source material for his books with an advertisement in the Star-Times: "Adventure wanted: will go anywhere, do anything-Box 13." Responses came in from crime victims and psychopaths that resulted in danger for Holiday and excitement for radio listeners. Sylvia Picker co-starred as Holiday's scatterbrained secretary Suzy. The syndicated series debuted on August 22, 1948 and ran for one year.
