It is 1842 and Brad Carver, better known as Senor Bradford, arrives in Monterey to take revenge on those who murdered his parents. Learning that his father was the celebrated swashbuckler called El Diablo, Carver dons the scarlet cape and black sombrero to recreate the heroic legend of the Scarlet Cloak. In the tradition of the Zorro stories, the sword-wielding avenger of this 1950 audition recording becomes the champion of the weak and oppressed. Veteran announcer Wendell Niles stars in the one existing episode, “The Origin of El Diablo”.
